🪰 Buzz Around AI
How far would you go for love? Hopefully not €830,000 deep into an AI scam.
One French woman just proved that love isn't just blind it can be €830,000 worth of blindness.
Anne is a 53-year-old French interior designer who just became the unwitting star of France's wildest catfishing story and trust us, this one is wilder than any Hollywood script.
But wait, it gets better.
The scammers didn't just slide into her DMs with a simple "Hey baby." These fraudsters used AI to generate custom selfies, and fake hospital photos and even whipped up a convincing passport of Brad Pitt.
Source @Leonardo
They orchestrated a romance worthy of a Netflix series:
Act 1: "Mama Pitt" plays matchmaker on Instagram
Act 2: "Brad" woos her with AI-generated selfies and love poems
Plot twist: His accounts are "frozen" due to that messy Angelina divorce
Grand finale: €830,000 vanishes faster than Brad's screen time in Deadpool 2
And just when you think this story couldn't get more chef's kiss perfect... The French internet turned it into a full-blown comedy festival.
The reality check finally came when our French friend spotted the actual Brad with his real girlfriend in the media.
After Anne shared her story on TF1's Seven to Eight program, the internet did what it does best and turned it into a meme fest.
Even Toulouse Football Club couldn't resist posting "Brad told us he'd be at the stadium on Wednesday" (they later apologized, but still... ouch).
Netflix France also jumped on the bandwagon, promoting "four films to see with Brad Pitt (really) for free." Someone on their social media team is getting a raise.
Our take: While it's easy to laugh, this is the dark side of AI's evolution.
When scammers can generate convincing photos, forge documents, and manipulate emotions with increasingly sophisticated technology, we are all potentially vulnerable.
(And yes, TF1 has since pulled the segment from their platforms, proving that sometimes even viral content needs a conscience check.)
🪰 Buzz Around AI
You're probably using AI right now more than you're using TikTok.
Here's a mind-bending stat:
ChatGPT hit 100 million users faster than it takes most people to decide what to watch on Netflix.
(For context: TikTok needed 9 months to reach that number, and Instagram? A whopping 2.5 years. Slow clap for the new kid.)
But here's the thing nobody's talking about:
While you're asking AI to write your cover letters, plan your workouts, and probably ghostwrite your dating app bios (we see you 👀), there's a whole other conversation we need to have about privacy.
Think of AI like that friend who remembers EVERYTHING you've ever said... and then shares it at the worst possible moment.
What's the big deal? Let's break it down:
Your data is attending a 24/7 party hosted by algorithms
Those "harmless" AI chatbots? They're collecting more tea than your gossipiest friend
And yes, there's a chance your AI workout buddy knows more about you than your actual trainer
Remember when Sam Altman (OpenAI's CEO) dropped GPT-4 in March 2023? He said,
"Here's this amazing thing... that could also help create super-sophisticated spam."
While businesses are rushing to make AI their new BFF (Because who doesn't want a robot assistant?), they're forgetting one tiny detail: privacy laws are playing catch-up slower than your internet during a Zoom call.
P.S. If you're reading this on a smart device, AI probably already knows you're interested in privacy. Ironic, isn't it? 😏
So now we must Welcome YOU to the "How Not to Get Catfished by Your AI" survival guide...
AI writing buddy remembers more about you than your best friend.

But hey don't throw your laptop out the window here's your actually-doable protection plan:
First, The Stupid-Simple Stuff That Works:
Use passwords longer than your coffee order
Turn on two-factor authentication
Update your apps (stop hitting "remind me tomorrow")
Actually, read what permissions you're giving AI tools
For The Family Squad: Here's what they need to know:
Not everything AI says is gospel
Keep personal stuff personal
Running a Business? Before you let AI run your whole show:
Check what data your AI tools are collecting
Train your team on AI safety
Keep an eye on those third-party AI services (they're like that sketchy app that wants all your contacts)
The "Duh" Stuff We Often Forget:
AI remembers EVERYTHING
It can share your data faster than office gossip spreads
Those "harmless" AI chats? They're stored somewhere
Why Should You Care?
Because while AI is out here writing your emails and planning your workouts, it's also:
Learning your habits
Potentially sharing your data
Getting smarter every day
Pro Tip: If an AI tool asks for access to your entire digital life, maybe question that. Just like you wouldn't give your house keys to a stranger with a great smile.

Check your Google Alerts emails
Pick the best articles
Use ChatGPT to summarize them
Add them to Buffer for posting
Pro Tips for Beginners:
Start with just one topic you love
Post once or twice a week at first
Read the summaries before posting
Ask friends for feedback
Keep track of what your audience likes
Common Problems and Easy Fixes:
Too many alerts? Make your search terms more specific
Summaries sound weird? Give ChatGPT clearer instructions
Posts not working? Double-check your scheduling times
Start Super Small:
Set up ONE Google Alert
Summarize ONE article
Post to ONE platform
Do this for one week
Then start automating
Remember: It's okay to start slow! Even posting once a week is great.
♨️ What’s Hot In AI
OpenAI introduces a new feature called "Tasks" in ChatGPT.
Tasks let you set reminders and schedule regular actions, like getting daily weather updates, news summaries, or automatic web searches. It's a step towards making ChatGPT more interactive and useful.
How it works:
You can manage your tasks through chat or a special web interface, and receive notifications on desktop, mobile, or web. ChatGPT can even suggest tasks based on your past conversations, but you’ll have to approve them first.
Who can use it:
Tasks will be available soon to Plus, Team, and Pro users, allowing up to 10 active tasks at once.
Why it matters:
While reminders aren’t new, Tasks is an important step toward making ChatGPT more like a personal assistant. This could lead to even more advanced features, such as AI agents that can do tasks on your behalf.
