🪰 Buzz Around AI

🕶️ Snap's New AI Smart Glasses

I'm excited about Snap's new invention. Do you remember when smartphones first came out?
They changed how we talk to each other. Now, Snap is making something just as cool - smart glasses that use AI.

Snap, the company that made Snapchat, has made new glasses called Spectacles 5. Right now, only a few tech experts can use them. These experts will make new AI stuff for Snapchat users to enjoy.

Snap is also adding other cool AI features:
  • A tool that can put your face in ads

  • Something called Easy Lens makes filters and 3D objects based on what you type

  • A tool that makes videos from words or pictures you give it

  • An AI helper that can understand what your camera sees

These new things show how AI is changing the way we use tech every day. It's exciting to think about what we might be able to do in the future. But it's also important to think about how these changes might affect our privacy and how we talk to people around us.

🗺️Google Is Using AI to Help Build Cities

I grew up in a city that changed a lot as I got older. New buildings went up, and old ones came down. Sometimes it was hard to keep track of all the changes.

That's why Google's latest AI project caught my eye - it's not just cool tech, it's something that could make a difference in people's lives.

Google just released a new AI tool called the Open Buildings 2.5D Temporal Dataset. This tool tracks how buildings have changed in developing parts of the world from 2016 to 2023. It can spot buildings, count them, and even guess how tall they are.

Here's what's special about it:

  • It covers a huge area - 32 million square miles across Africa, Latin America, and parts of Asia.

  • The AI is smart enough to use multiple low-quality satellite images to get results almost as good as high-quality images.

  • It's meant to help with city planning, handling emergencies, and studying environmental impacts in places that don't have up-to-date information about their buildings.

  • But it's not perfect - it has trouble in very cloudy areas or with very small buildings.

☞ Why it is important:

Google has been pushing the boundaries with AI lately. Just yesterday, they were using AI to "talk" to whales. Now, they're using it to help build better cities. Building tools that may even prevent environmental disasters.

😀AI Recap

  • The United Nations' AI experts wrote a report. They gave seven ideas about how to manage AI around the world.

  • Scientists at MIT created an AI that can figure out what powders are made of by looking at special X-ray pictures. This AI is called Crystalyze.

  • Google is starting to flag AI-made images in its search results and other features. This move aims to help people spot fake pictures online.

  • A team of scientists used AI to predict fruit fly visual brain patterns accurately - right down to individual neurons.

The concept behind the video:- अन्तराभव i.e. Antara-bhava is a concept in Buddhism/Hinduism that essentially is the state between the living and those who have broken away from the cycle of rebirth by attaining moksha/nirvana. So, it is sort of a purgatory state, if you will.

Apple Tests New Phone Software with AI

While there's a lot of talk about iOS 18 on social media, many users say Apple has compromised on usability.

Apple is letting some people try out a new version of their iPhone software early. This update, called iOS 18.1, adds a lot of AI features, especially to Siri.

Let’s See What's New:

  • You can try it on iPhone 16 and some iPhone 15 models, but be careful - it might have bugs.

  • Siri can talk better now and looks different when you use it.

  • New AI tools help with writing, understanding emails, and editing photos. More features will come later.

  • It's only in the US for now. Other English-speaking countries get it in December, and more places next year.

☞ Why it's important:

This early look shows how Apple is making Siri smarter and adding AI to iPhones. These changes could make using your phone feel more personal. But remember, this is just a test version - the final one might be different.

📰 AI News

  1. TikTok is making its special computer chips for AI. They want to use these instead of buying chips from Nvidia. They plan to start making lots of these chips in 2026.

  2. Amazon made a new AI helper called Amelia. It helps people who sell things on Amazon. Amelia can fix account problems and show sales information. Right now, only some sellers in the US can try it out.

I hope you found these updates as fascinating as I did.
